The theme of this issue is Human Rights. There is an article on the impact of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on low and middle income countries in Africa and Asia. There are two items related to the Changing Places campaign and accessible loos. There are other relevant reports: the development of guidelines on how to gain the views of people with PMLD; experiences of intimate care and ensuring dignity for people with PMLD; and the need for a personalized, individual‐led approach to the use of touch and giving touch experiences. One family carer talks about her keen awareness of isolation, discrimination and negative assumptions associated with her son’s disability and the need to fight for his rights. There other articles besides: playfulness and children with PMLD; the work of a specialist teaching assistant; the Sounds of Intent music project; and a survey of 25 Years of education-focussed articles in PMLD-LINK. There is also a report back from PMLD LINK’s 25th Anniversary conference in Birmingham.
