The theme for this issue is Innovation in Practice. Articles cover a wide range of innovations: work experience for people with profound disabilities; the ‘Team around the Child’ model; the value of residential visits for pupils with PMLD; Intensive Interaction; Affective Communication Assessment; Communication with Objects for Reference; and an early critique on the government strategy for people with learning disabilities as set out in the White Paper, Valuing People. There is a report back on a seminar on the curriculum for pupils with PMLD.
