This issue acknowledges that MENCAP City Foundation had given a grant for one year to establish the newsletter on a secure footing and to ensure that it will not disappear. It is also the first issue to be printed with a golden yellow cover which became a distinguishing feature. A retiring HMI provides his thoughts with special reference to the National Curriculum; there is a piece from a PMLD support group in the South West on its activities; a report on a Westhill conference on pupils with PMLD and the National Curriculum; and details about scrap banks, the Kidderminster Curriculum and other resources.
